Another post...I got tagged!

This is a picture tag from my lovely sister!! The rules are...you have to take 10 pictures of the following things, right away, without straitening or cleaning anything up. Mine are going to be a little out of the order my sister followed because I am not cool enough to know how to post more than 5 pictures at a time and then I couldn't move them around either! So here I go...
1. The closet...not too shabby, but we do have a few too many clothes.

2. The toilet...there were no rules about whether it should be opened and I really don't want to show you what it looks like opened!

3. What your kids are doing right now! This is no joke...Casen had gotten into our movie cupboard and spilled those out and then he moved on to the diaper basket! This is what happens when mommy is blogging instead of giving him her full attention!

4. Self portrait. I am not very good at taking my own picture, thus the odd angle!

5. The fridge...pretty clean, missing some key food since I haven't gone shopping since my vacation!

6. The kitchen sink...Luckily, I did the dishes before I got tagged or this would have been a lot worse.
7. The laundry room. Sorry the picture is sideways, I was technologically challenged with that one too. This room is VERY messy because I am in the middle of doing vacation laundry!
8. My favorite room in the house. This is our family room. It is also a disaster because Casen was having lots of fun today. He likes to throw the pillows and his toys everywhere!
9. My favorite pair of shoes...These are my pretty new black sandals. I got them for work purposes but wear them all the time.

10. A picture of my dream vacation. I don't have any pictures of my dream vacation but I think it would be to Hawaii or some other tropical location. (my sister was cool and pulled one off of the internet but that was too much work for me!) I would just sit on the beach or swim in a perfectly aqua blue ocean and relax all day. As I have learned from my last vacation (the cruise), Casen would not be allowed to come in order for the relaxation to actually exist. Sorry little baby, I do love you though!

Okay so I will tag Celeste, Jessica, Ragan, and Melissa N. (maybe this will inspire you to post, maybe not). As usual, I will not be offended if you don't have the time! Also, anyone else who is interested is welcome to tag themselves with this one! Have a fabulous day!!

Family Reunion!

Except we mostly just took pictures of ourselves and our baby!! I guess we are just a little self-centered!
Here is a picture of the Cox family great grandkids! Brooklyn wasn't too thrilled with the grass but it is still a cute shot considering all the babies being mostly good and all! Cambree, Kinley and Oakley in the back and Casen, Brooklyn, and Codey in the front. Casen and Codey are only 2 days apart!
Casen and Codey. Although they are so close in age, Codey has 4 pounds on Casen. He is such a cutie though. They enjoyed crawling around and touching each other. Codey just kept hitting Casen in the head and Casen didn't even care. We spent our first evening of our trip with the Coxes having dinner and celebrating my father in law's birthday. We also got to feed the ducks. I didn't bring my camera because I am not the brightest. Casen had a lot of fun though.
We had the Stone family reunion (Marc's mom's family) at Hyrum Dam, I guess you could say it was a Dam Family Reunion (he he he, I just can't resist a dam joke). It is a nice campground completely enclosed and private for only our family to enter. It has bathrooms and showers (sweet!) and a huge pavilion with tables for eating. It also has this nice firepit for smores. This is Casen's first campfire. Marc held him very close when the fire was going. Casen kept reaching out and trying to touch it. There is also a lake (hence the dam, it's a dam lake). Marc and I were lucky enough to go to the lake when Casen was napping. I swam all the way out to the buoy. I enjoyed swimming because last year when we went I had a huge belly and couldn't swim.
We also had a kiddie pool back at camp for the kids. Here is an interesting picture of Marc's grandpa! He is actually just filling the pool with water. The kids played in this pool and a slip in slide for hours every day. Casen even played in it for an hour until his lips started turning blue and we had to remove him. He just walked around and around the edge of the pool and then he would stop and splash and then walk again.
Here is Casen enjoying a nice beverage. It was pretty warm in the day so we made sure Casen always had some cold water on hand to avoid getting overheated. Casen had such a blast at camp. There was grass everywhere and so we just let him down to roam. He loved pulling the grass, pikcing up rocks, and trying to pick up bugs (I stopped him). He was so busy the whole time. He also got to get passed around from cousin to cousin. One of the days we went into Logan and went bowling. We discovered that Casen LOVED it! He got so excited watching the pins fall down that he was screaming with delight and flapping his arms like a bird. I don't think I have ever seem him so excited in his life! I guess we are going to have to go bowling more often! We had such a fun and relaxing time! We can't wait to go back next year!

Tired Boy!

This is a picture from my cell phone so it isn't the greatest quality but I had to capture Casen's first time falling asleep somewhere other than in his crib or snuggled up to someone. I remember my nephew's falling asleep eating in their high chairs and all kinds of crazy stuff so I guess this was to be expected. I kind of feel like a mean mommy though because this one is my fault. Casen decided that he wanted to wake up at 5:30 this morning. I fed him a bottle and he was still all awake and acting like it was normal (it's not-he usually sleeps until 8-that's a big difference you know!!). Anyway so I put him in his little saucer and turned on his show that he usually watches while we get ready. He was whining so I laid down by him and ended up falling asleep. I guess that made him feel tired too because I woke up with a start to this. Marc woke up sensing that it was too quiet for Casen to be "awake" and it scared me. He does have his blanky snuggled up to him which you can't really see in the picture so I must not be all bad. The good news is that I asked him, and he still loves me and doesn't think I am too bad of a mom!! Thanks Casen! We are off on yet another vacation and we are not sure when we will be back so see ya later!!

Cruise Pictures! (actual post to follow)

Super Long, Super Vacation Post!

I am finally back from my vacation and have time to post a vacation update. Our family reunion was so much fun! It was so great to have everyone together again and there was soo much to do! My sister did a fabulous job of posting pictures and details so here is a link to her update (is that lame or what!?!) http://thewillicuties.blogspot.com/2008/07/reunion.html I did have to post some of my own information because Casen got his first haircut while we were there. This is a picture of my sister, Cara, cutting Casen's hair. He was actually very well behaved for the majority of the haircut.

The after picture is our family photo that my sister posted. It is such a cute hair do that makes him look like a little man.
This is a picture of us at fireworks on the 4th of July. These were Casen's first fireworks and he LOVED them! He sat and stared at them for the entire hour, yes I said hour!! The fireworks lasted an entire hour. It actually started getting sort of funny because we kept thinking they were going to be over and that was the finale, but it just kept on going. Then we decided to start making bets on what time they would actually end. I believe my nephew, Josh, ended up winning with the time, 9:56 pm. We really had a lot of fun! The best part was that on the final night we ended up staying up until 1:30 am talking and Marc and I had to wake up at 3:30 am to take my brother to the airport in Phoenix. We then drove 8 hours to San Diego with each of us taking a 1 hour nap along the way. Needless to say, we started our trip off a little bit tired! This picture is the start of our cruise portion of the vacation. We went to the San Diego beach before we went on the cruise. Casen had fun on his first trip to the beach. We let him walk around in the sand and then when we went to wash him up, he had sand in his mouth and everywhere else. I have no idea how he got the sand in his mouth. I guess it wouldn't have been a true beach experience without it and he seems to be fine so I will let it slide! As for our cruise, it lasted from Monday until Saturday morning. We went to Cabo San Lucas and Ensenada, Mexico, and also had 2 days at sea. There were a lot of activities on the ship like eating and swimming that we participated in (they even had scrapbooking!). We basically just hung out, relaxed, and ate amazing food. Every night is a 3 course meal where you can order as many appetizers, entrees, and desserts as you want. There is a slight chance that I gained a little weight from the experience =)
Here is a picture of us on formal night. That is the night when everyone gets to dress up for dinner and you can get fancy pictures taken. We just took our own!
This is a picture of our family in Cabo San Lucas. Marc and I got to go on a kayaking and snorkeling adventure in the morning while Marc's mommy watched Casen. It was so much fun. I had never been snorkeling before and I loved it! After that, we all explored the town and ate lunch at the Hard Rock Cafe. In Ensenada we explored the town and Marc's mom and I had some interesting pedicures. I am pretty sure that I don't have any skin left on my feet. Other than that we checked out the town and bought some souvenirs. Some of the not so fun things that happened while on the cruise include, Casen cutting another tooth, Casen getting cabin fever and acting a little spastic, and Casen throwing himself off of the bed and getting a huge goose egg. Despite this, we had a great time! We got home on Saturday and I was still rocking from the ship until Sunday night. My nice mommy came and brought us dinner on Saturday because we were so tired and dizzy! Luckily, we didn't experience any of this when we were actually on the cruise ship! I guess we have to come back to reality now!
