My sister did this and I thought it was pretty fun so I thought we would give it a try. I could have told you that Casen is an exact mix of us though. Most people look at him and say that. I think eventually people will just think he looks like Marc when he gets older. In all actuality he has about half and half features. He has my eyes and mouth and Marc's nose and face structure (including hairline). Either way, he is super cute! He is so silly lately too. When I get some more time I will post some funny videos. He has gotten to the stage where he says a new word every day but he still insists on saying Mommy whenever he wants something. It is pretty silly!

10 Whole Years!

It seems crazy but today is the 10 year anniversary of the day Marc and I first met and our first date was February 13, 1999. I thought it would be fun to copy my journal entry that I wrote on February 13, 1999. It will be completely unedited and copied word for word and quotation for qhotation. Keep in mind that I was only 16 so you can ignore the youthful language, and also I write to my journal like a person. So here goes:

"Oh my goodness! I just went on a date with the cutest, awesomest guy in the world. Oh my!! I am so excited. Let me tell you the whole story. His name is Marc. Marc works at Sports Authority and comes into Hogi Yogi ALL the time. Everytime I saw him I thought how HOT he was and I was secretly in love with him. He was totally not a reality though and I never thought he would ever go out with me or even give me a second look. Last night me and Crystal are working and Marc comes in with some friends (one of which named Nick who was supposed to go on a date with Crystal) so they are like out the door leaving and I told Crystal how hot I thought Marc was (she knows Marc, they are in the same ward) so she ran outside and asked him what he thought of me and he said I was pretty hot. Then she came in and we locked up and they came to the window and were beckoning me out. So me and Crystal went to the back door and talked to them and they asked what we were doing tomorrow and if we wanted to go hang out and do something!! We agreed to it under the conditions that they took the trash out. They did. So I was so psyched so was Crystal because Nick is cute too. So me and Crystal went shopping and like got new outfits. Then tonight the 4 of us went bowling. It was so dang much fun. This guy Marc is so funny and he knows movies and SNL and everything. He is good at bowling too. He won everytime. After bowling we went to get smoothies and then we came to my house and played Catch Phrase. Oh wow it was so fun. I am so in love with this guy. It is unreal. I am on this total high right now. I am so excited. Oh yeah and Marc is a total good mormon, he is 18, he is going to college so he is the perfect age! Oh I hope he likes me so much."

So there it is, this is the beginning of our love story and I guess the rest is history. I seriously cannot believe we have been together for so long! I don't think either of us realized how serious this would be when we first met, although I should get some credit because I was talking love on the first date! I am so grateful for Marc and I am glad that we have survived these last 10 years and I know we will have many more to come!!
