The newest member of our family...

Not a baby but a puppy! Her name is Sasha and she is only 4 months old and about 4 pounds. She will get to be about 5 or 6 pounds total. I am not quite sure how this happened since I am a little anti dog (no offense dog lovers). I am convinced that Marc has brainwashed me. He has bought every single puppy book he can find for Casen and he reads them all the time. I wouldn't doubt if he is using mind control or something. However it happened we were able to get this puppy for free and she is pretty cute. She has taken to us pretty well and follows me around wherever I go. She is not too sure of Casen but to her defense he is a super crazy almost 2 year old. Sometimes I am a little unsure of him too. I guess there will be more to come on how she is doing!

Go Rebels!

I haven't posted in forever so I am going to go ahead and do 2 posts now and then another one later this week for Casen's birthday!!

A couple of weeks ago we checked out our first Rebel game of the football season.
Although the Rebs aren't generally great at football it is fun to go. This time it was nice because UNLV gave free tickets to high school counselor's so we got our tickets for free and we even got to attend a tailgate BBQ.
Here is a picture of Casen trying on daddy's soccer headband before the game!

Uncle Shane went a little crazy at this game and was painted red with some of his buddies. Casen was terrified of him, it was pretty hilarious. It is also hilarious that he is digging for gold. Nice Casen!

Daddy and Casen sporting their Rebel gear!

We ended up losing this game against Oregon State, but we beat Hawaii the next week so I guess that makes up for it!!

Bad Blogger!!

So I have been a horrible blogger lately!! I started facebook and have now been devoting more time to that than blogging, not that I have that much time to begin with. I will definitely try to post a real update with pictures soon! I am too lazy to get the camera right now!!

Do your chores!!

My little boy is so cute!! Casen just loves to do chores. I can only hope as a mother that this love of cleaning lasts his whole life!!! Today we got a video of Casen helping Daddy with the dishes. The best part is that he names everything as he hands it over. My argument is that it is not slave labor but a learning opportunity for Casen. Some of the other chores he enjoys are separating the recycling, sweeping or vacuuming the floor (Marc has a video of this on facebook), organizing his toys, and wiping things with his baby wipes. By the way it is about 3minutes so it is okay if you don't watch the whole thing!

I am so grateful for Casen, he brings so much joy to our family. How can anyone ever be sad when they have a little kid doing cute things like this??
